You should be fine, plug it in and go. I'm using it in a 1994 850 Turbo (very early OBDII along with an OBDI terminal under the hood).

I'd recommend physical gauges for crucial items such as boost and air/fuel! I'm in an 850 Turbo, BTW. 🙂
