i have a zte zmax champ android phone and a elm 327 scanner but my phone keeps saying no near by bluetooh device found. and i have check the settings on the phone and the adapter. has anyone on here ran into this problem?

just a normal guy that likes to do it for there self.

Hi!

Have you told the app in the main ‘OBD2 Adapter Settings, Choose Bluetooth Device’ what BT device to connect to? (otherwise it won’t know what adapter to use) – it’s possible that you may have selected the wrong bluetooth device here, so it’s worth checking that the correct one is selected

If you have removed and re-added the adapter in the android settings (if you have changed adapters or got a new one) then you will need to re-select the adapter in the settings (each adapter should have a unique address and this needs re-setting in the app)

i checked that and its all fine it just cant find it.theres nothing there to select lol.it works fine with my rca viking pro tablet though.but i whould rather have it work on my phone.
thank you for your help. i should be glad it works with the tablet
