I am trying to find more ways to monitor the dpf on a Toyota.
They seem to use mode 21, I have run torque scan only to realise that I do not fully understand the results.

For instance I tested a known pid from the edit screen and the result was:
012
0:613800590008
1:78706080003004
2:AD806400000000

I understand 40 is added to the first byte and the second one is an acknowledgement but what does the 012 before this mean?

The equation for this one is J*2 and I can see that the tenth byte is 30 hex which is 48 so multiplied by 2 = 96 which in this case is correct.
What I cant get my head around is why some pids have a huge response while others much less.
Sorry if this has been asked before, I have searched without any success.
