Installed TorquePro (not lite) 6+ months ago on Nexus tablet, Clear code function worked well, tablet died, now installed on Android phone. The code displays as pending, clear code command seems to work as normal but light remains On and pending code remains with search function. Tank is full so ECU not supposed to check until 3/4 tank. Clear command sent with engine running, and on but not running.
What am I missing? tia

Hi!

That means that it’s likely one of the following:

* A pending code means it’s been seen, but not confirmed. This may well be because it’s immediately being seen as a fault after the fault clear command has been sent

* The correct conditions have not been followed to clear the code (you can usually ignore this if you have cleared codes before) – there may be a specific sequence (ignition on, send fault clear command, ignition off, ignition on again) Most vehicles clear the code as soon as the code is sent

* The adapter failed to send the correct clear command(usually very unlikely to happen)

If the code re-appears, then it usually means that the fault isn’t fixed and that the ECU has flagged it already. For some other faults, a drive cycle may need to complete before the ECU considers it for removal (this bit is a bit open to interpretation by the manufacturer)

New pending code today p0059.
I saw the app updated overnight so was hoping for miracle to send Clear Fault Codes. Yet still will not clear , now 2 pending fault codes.

Hi

The pending codes won’t clear if they are being immediately seen by the ECU (ie: they clear, but are immediately re-entered into the pending log). Also for some manufacturers, some pending codes will not clear unless the ECU confirms the conditions no longer happen – this may take a full drive cycle to complete
