I don’t know to get the extended PIDs but I purchased a gauge from Aeroforce (http://www.aeroforcetech.com) that is able to read the transmission temperature and other extended PIDs. I don’t know if they would give you the codes or not.

If someone has a way to read the extended PIDs by inserting a device between this gauge and the obd connector and analyzing what it is doing, I’d be willing to try it because I just ordered the Kiwi bluetooth device and would like to use my phone for some of the things instead of the gauge.

Same here, the aeroforce gauge can read everything. Trying to find temp. PID for my LS1 car.

I also drive a Dodge Ram (a 2008 1500 Hemi to be exact). The transmissions in these trucks are very prone to failure if they get hot. While I do absolutely love the app one of the main reasons I purchased it was so that I could monitor trans temp. I was a little bummed to say the least when I discovered that it wouldn’t read the trans temp. I just want to know if this is something that the “Torque-Team” is still looking into.

It is. KR and Transmission temps are on the priority list of items to support in Torque. I will be making a renewed effort on this in the next couple of versions

Transmission Fluid Temperature support is working for some people though.

I tried entering some of the items from the list above using aiOBD Terminal. Some of the items returned data for my jeep such as transmission temperature but the temperature was not the correct temp as displayed by my aeroforce gauge.
I entered 3575
it returned 3575F 35 80
also displayed 53 128 976 which were some of the above numbers converted to decimal. Supposedly the temperatures have a -40 °C offset. My real trans temp was 118 °F or 48 °C. None of these numbers match.

piemmm, I’ll gladly test these parameters. Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong?

May I resurrect this thread?

Purchased Torque mostly for tranny temp on Chrysler 2001, but no luck…. tried Chrysler PIDs.

Have this even been solved, anyone?

Same with me, just burned and replaced a tranny in a 2001 Mitsubishi eclipse GT (fluid leak), bought the software and dongle just to monitor the trans temp, but no joy. Ian, any plans on the extended PID? (Method 1, 2 & 3 do not work, method 3 returns coolant temp). I would be willing to pay for the mitsu extended PIDs in the plugins available in the play store if I knew for certain the trans temp was there and worked.

You might test 2124 for a response.
