I have a 06 Buick Lucerne and have access to a factory mp3 unit out of a 2012 Impala. When I changed it out all the door bells and clock work but the radio didn’t work just said locked. My dealer said he would unlock it for 80 but I thought I would buy an adapter and give torque a shot if someone on here can confirm it will work. Also is the free lite program needed or the pro.

So you have no answers???? I didn’t get anything. There are some unlocks for non vin coded radios but nothing for mine.

Depending on the radio… some radios u need to get the unlock code before u remove from original car… others need to be programmed from dealer. Most cannot be unlocked from a cheap obd reader to prevent theft…

All the newer radios are paired to the vehicle vin and have no coded I know the tech 2 will do it but is cost prohibitive. I was hoping to use torque and a blue tooth scanner
