I have two tablets that do not see the device.

Other phones and tablets see the usb elm327 just fine.

It seems that Android 4.4.2 (Kit Kat) doesn’t work.

Any help on this one?

I can’t find drivers…

For this purpose, the USB-host (USB-OTG) function should be supported on the android device, as can be learned from the TTX device.
The driver for the USB adapter is already inside the program, but most likely you will have to manually install the driver on the system.

Where do I get the driver?

It did not come with the device

you need to find out first what type of converter the COM-USB interface is in your adapter
FT232R – FTDI Ltd.
PL2303 – Prolific Technology Inc.
CP2101 – Silicon Labs.
CH340 – Nanjing QinHeng Electronics Co. Ltd.

usually in android systems only drivers for FTDI

Prolific 2303

Very strange because i can see it on my Android Version 7.0 tablet and not my Android Version 4.4.2.

Do you have the drivers for Adroid so I can get this up and running?

No luck with either of my Android 4.4.2 tablets. It is like the device is not connected…

The tablets connect to my laptop and USB flash drives with no problem.

Purchasing another tablet with Android Marshmallow.

Hopefully I won’t have any issues with this next tablet.
