Post Nougat and USB permission

Running Android 7.1, Torque Pro and an OBDLink SX USB adapter. Everything works fine except that the app doesn’t seem to remember its usb permissions. Everytime I start torque the popup for permission to use the usb device (and start by default checkbox) pops up. Select allow, start by default and everything runs fine. Upon reboot the app asks for permissions all over again. Other USB devices on other apps work fine, only had to assign the permissions once for USB GPS etc. Trying to set this up as a car pc so really trying to avoid having to click that everytime.

Hi!

Some android versions can be a bit fiddly with USB permissions (namely some of the Chinese android headunits can be a real pain) – can you tell me the android device you’re using there and I’ll see if I can replicate the issue (then try to get it fixed, if it’s fixable and not a firmware/OS issue)

Thanks!

Device is a Odroid XU4 single board computer:

Running the LineageOS 7.1 build for a ROM. Build thread for that ROM is here: https://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=23911
The dev that made it is pretty helpful.
