Post Different PID rates same obdll

Okay guru’s I’m at a loss here I have a Chinese clone elm327 obd using 2.1 on my Android head unit running a customized Android 4.4 I’m getting a average of 1.6 pids/s on my Galaxy s8 using the same obdim getting a average of 16.7 pids/s can any one provide insight as to why this is? I would like to run torque independently of my phone but if all else fails I can mirror my phone to the head unit. This is my first post so forgive me if I have done so out of place. Thanks for the help.

So as to not start a new thread and hopefully someone can chime in, I uninstalled torque and reinstalled it which helped slightly but it still is too laggy to be functional. The head unit I’m using has 1gb of ram it is a atoto head unit I’m not sure of the specs as far as processing power and what not, is it possible that the head unit is just not up to processing all the data?
