Post engine malfunction light

hello
i purchased an ELM327 bluetooth scanner from ebay and used it with an android phone.
i’ve recently replaced a faulty maf sensor and car is running ok again. i was able to clear the fault code and check engine light using torque but the engine malfunction warning is still lit up on the dot matrix display. is it possible to clear the warning using torque?
the car is a 2008 ford focus tdci

Maybe you have a mistake not on the engine
There may be a real malfunction
Perhaps for your car you need a specific command to remove errors that the program does not support

the engine malfunction warning was caused by the faulty maf sensor, which has been replaced.
i guess i’ll have to pay a garage to clear the waning?

Im confused. The MIL lamp was cleared right?
Your dot matrix display may require additional
criteria to clear it (e.g., certain number of
successful drive cycles) ?

Maybe an OEM specific command to reset it
like Cintakc suggested.

(As always I could be wrong).

Yes the MIL light was cleared. It went out when I replaced the maf sensor.
The car has been driven plenty since then too.
