Post ECU Connection Problem Solved

Although this is advice from a newby/novice to this app, when I see all the topics here and reviews of the app that relate to ECU connection problems, I feel I need to let people know what solved mine. Here goes:

When you close the Torque Pro app, be sure to use the “Quit” command under the the settings icon. Initially, I was just closing it as a typical Android app and it would then not connect on my future attempts unless I used this approach or did a forced stop in the Android apps manager.

Questions that this raises for me and for which I don’t have an answer are:
– Why can Torque Lite reconnect easily after being closed as a typical Android app? Also Torque Lite seems to connect much quicker.
– Why is a “Quit” command located under a settings icon and not displayed as a prominent icon on the menu GUI??

I don’t know if this will help anyone, but, it certainly put an end to my frustration.
