Post Inserting comments in PID file

I am interested in inserting comments in my PID file as well as commenting out unused lines. Can this be done?
Something like,

/*Engine Oil Temperature,”EOT”,”221310″,”(((A*256)+B)/100)-40″,0.0,250.0,”°C”,”Auto”*/

…or

####below does not work with VW diesel Rabbits pre-2000####
Barometer,”BARO”,”221442″,”((A*256)+B)*0.03625″,10,15,”PSI”,”C410F1″

Thanks in advance.

You can add comments but Torque will likely
add pids if the info is present in the form it
uses to parse. Any other text is treated as comments
from what I have seen.

I have csv files for all my pids. I suggest creating
another csv file with the unused pids removed
from the text file then loading it. (Specific to the
intended vehicle).

Doesn’t make sense to me why any specific extended
Ford pids would be included in a VW pid file?
