Post TorquePro for android
on: May 10, 2017 (GMT)

Okay, after using torque lite for android, I upgraded to TorquePro, which somewhat infuriatingly, won’t install, throwing error code 11.
This is a little ridiculous now, in order to read OBD codes on a car that needs fixing, I now have to fix TorquePro, Any help would be awesome, device is an HTC wildfire, which ran torque lite fine, but can’t install Pro version ??
I did all the trouble shooting steps as per google play and even had a google specialist phone me back, and the trouble may lie with the app developer ?
Really not my field though, I just need to read DTCs off my car

Amputee, fiscally challenged, need a car, car need fixing

Hi!

That sounds like a Google Play store error (nothing to do with the app itself as it’s not installed yet) – the usual causes for this when you try to install are:

* An issue communicating with google play servers when requesting the app – this may clear itself up in a little bit, or rebooting has been reported to help as well (usually when the store app has out-dated data, and the reboot forces it to refresh/update)

* Not enough storage for the app to be installed on the phone/device

* Payment being declined by your card issuer (google will send a gmail to you if this happens)

* The cache or permissions on your SD Card/storage area being corrupt/incorrect – if you upgraded your phones ROM with a custom ROM then it’s important to clear out the cache after installation (if you missed this step then you will have problems installing random apps). Only applies if you installed a custom ROM

* A previous installation of the Pro app that was not the genuine app

Usually a reboot will clear most issues on the device, paticularly if it’s a google play issue itself (otherwise if may be a service issue which may clear itself in a couple of hours, if it is at googles end)

There are some more steps suggested as well – see:
