Post Can OBD2 bluetooth devices send car alarm to Torque?

Hi, I’m new at Torque and would like to know if OBD2 devices like Elm327 are able to send the car alarm to Torque. So, instead of car alarm making noise, the car alarm is redirected to the smartphone.

Any links to learn more about this specific topic?

Thanks!

I don’t think it’s possible. The OBD2 adapter needs power to work so the engine would need to be running or car turned to ‘on’. Some manufacturers of vehicles have the alarm module seperate to the ECU.
