I have the Torque pro app and am trying to get a transmission temperature readout on a 1997 VW Eurovan. I believe I need to program in something but have no idea how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Torque has a feature where you can add
custom pids if you know what to add.

From Main menu…

Menu>Settings>Manage Extra PIDs/Sensors

Menu>Add pid

You will need to know

Long Name: ?
Short Name: ?
Header: ?
Mode/Pid: ?
Equation: ?
Units: ?
Min: ?
Max: ?
Scaling: x1
Diagnostics Start Command: (leave blank)
Diagnostics Stop Command: (leave blank)

(Just another Torque Pro user).

I just purchased a 2002 T4 (EuroVan), and set it up with an adaptor and Torque..
I just scrolled down through the list and found one for “transmission temp” and added it.. seems to work fine.
had there been an update since this post, or did I just get lucky?
