Using a Obdlink MX Bluetooth device and I can’t seem to get any MS-CAN or HS-CAN data. It’s needed for the transmission fluid temperature PID. Is there some trick to getting this data?

2015 Ford Escape
OBDLink MX BT
Torque Pro 1.8.154

Is your adapter showing any errors under
Adapter Status icon functions and has it
been paired correctly with your device?

No errors, connected fine. It just can’t pull ms or hs can data. It pulls regular obd2 info fine.

What pids have you tried that are not
working? Most of the Ford Predefined pids
were for older Fords.

I believe the 1E1C pid is for newer Fords.
Have you tried it? (TFT).

Yes, that one is the one I want and it displays no value.

Transmission Temperature
“OBD2 Mode and PID” = 221E1C
“Long Name” = Trans Temp
“Short Name” = Trans T
“Minimum Value” = -40
“Maximum Value” = 260
“Scale Factor” = 1
“Unit Type” = deg
“Equation” = ((signed(A)*256)+B)*9/80+32

I would edit that pid to TEST for your
vehicles raw hex response while connected.

You might also want to check a vehicle specific
forum to see if this problem is unique to your
vehicle.

How would I do that.

Others with same exact hardware and PID are seeing the data.

You would edit the pid while connected to
the vehicle. The TEST option is in the editor.
