Post 2015 BMW i3 (I01) REX - PID scan
on: March 12, 2017 (GMT)

Hi all, my first post here!

I have a 2015 BMW i3 (I01) REX version, therefore with a 2 cylinder, double overhead camshaft naturally aspirated gasoline engine and a displacement of 0.6 litres.

http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/car/?car=349910

Connecting my car with Torque Pro app, via a bluetooth Carista dongle, I can see quite a few parameters related with the range extender engine, but none related with the electric engine, or parameters like battery SOC %, battery temperature, consumption kWh/100km, etc…

I thought that running a full PID scan, using the TorqueScan plugin app would show the ‘hidden’ PID necessary to create new dashboards, but I only got 4 (four) PID after leaving my electric car on for about 3 hours.

Command: 223f45 Response:
Command: 225a3c Response:
Command: 225fcb Response:
Command: 227d6c Response:

I have left my i3 turned on, as READY state (blue light lit on the gear lever) inside my garage for 3 hours and the result was this:

Does anyone can give me any direction as to how to make Torque Pro app give me the battery SOC%, battery temperature and consumption of the trip, so I can log these into any trip I make?

Cheers!

Hi,
When scanning the PIDs, remove the tick “auto” and in the Header, substitute in turn the addresses
7e0
7e1
7e2
7e3
7e4

Hi cintakc,

Do you mean I should replace the word “auto” by “7e0” (see pic attached)?
