Post Ford F150 Ambient Air Temp PID ??
on: January 29, 2017 (GMT)

Wikipedia and numerous other lists / sites give PID ’46’ as Ambient Air Temp.

Returns no data on my 2004 F150 5.4L 3 valve. Have tried Mode/Pid 220046 and ‘[46]’. Have tried various headers – Auto, 7E0, 7C0, TCM, PAM.

The Air Temp sensor is located just below the hood latch in front of radiator – wiring diagram shows it wires directly to the instrument cluster.

Any ideas how I can get Ambient Air Temp to work?

I’ve been working on this for a little older Ford. Have you gotten anywhere? So far I have tried 3 different PIDs to no avail. Someone gave me 22f446 but I haven’t fully tested it. I have also noticed that several of my headers have had to be C410F1.
