Hi,

I have set up a custom math only pid that does some simple rough calculations from other sensors.

And it would be very useful to be able to make a custom dial background for it.

However, since its not a actual pid, i can’t append the PID to the filename, i was hoping there was a way to theme for virtual math pids but i haven’t been able to figure it out

Anyone have any ideas?

Just a thought… can you use a non-active mode 01
pid with your custom equation? This might allow you
to use its pid for the background.

Yea That is an option, I’m doing that to fine tune the background design.

Was just trying to avoid it trying to poll more PID/sec

So, for anyone else interested in this, I found a workaround I think

If you set an inactive pid Id to the virtual pid, add the background to that pid Id, then add the gauge it will have the background.

Now if you remove the pid Id from the virtual pid, the gauge will retain the background until removed.

*EDIT On a final note, Using torquescan will actually give you the virtual pid assigned to the custom internal pid which can be used for themes.
