new here. I’m using the pro version of torque. I’ve been trying my hand at editing themes, and creating my own.

is there a pc app where the editing and testing can be done? making changes, transferring the files, closing torque and reopening torque is very time consuming.

I’ve read the wiki’s on theme editing and find some of the parameters confusing. how do I change the font size and position for example of “coolant” on a digital gauge? how do I move the data position?

is it possible to change the width of the digital gauge active ring?

any hints or tips are greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance

have a great day!!!

Documentation is not exactly straightforward and no there is no PC editor. I would love that feature it’s a pain to edit a file then have to upload it to the device to see if it works ok.

is there a way to have torque load some data for the gauges and displays?

this would really save a lot of time editing the gauges. as it is now the app will keep the last data for about 10 minutes after the vehicle is turned off, then the data clears along with the units and data.

thanks in advance

I marked up a screenshot to help ID gauge and meter dials

dialNeedleValueFontScale= and dialMeterValueFontScale= are interchanged (ie setting the needlevalue actually moves the metervalue)

dialMeterTitleTextOffset= and dialNeedleTitleTextOffset= are also interchanged

everything else I’ve tested seems to be correct.

hope this helps others who are getting unexpected results, or are having difficulty parsing the items.

have a great day!!!
