Post Possible ECM problem
on: September 27, 2016 (GMT)

My OBDII scanner (BAFX) lights blink like crazy when plugged into my 2005 Mustang. On three other cars it does not do that and reads OK. My mechanic is 95% sure that the Mustang’s ECM needs replaced. I was wondering if all the lights blinking constantly is normal? If it is not normal, then I would think my mechanic is right.

I know this post is old as dirt, but I have the exact same issue—2005 Mustang, BAFX Bluetooth adapter, and light blink like mad, but only a very few of the PID options function, like maybe 7 or 8. I have no reading on coolant temp, engine oil temp. RPM guage works, and battery voltage works—for example. I would surely appreciate any info on this. Thank you!
