Post Jeep Renegade 2.0 Mjet extra-pid
on: September 14, 2016 (GMT)

Hi all,

I’m using torque pro on a Jeep Renegade 2.0 Mjet. I have problems discovering extra Pid with Torque Scan.

I haven’t found anything.

I eared that on other Jeep models must be used a wake-up PID (3E01) to check PID 21xxxx or 22xxxxx but it doesn’t work for me.

Does anyone have experience with this model of car (or Fiat 500x)?

thx
Davide

Hi,

The protocol is ISO15765-4(CAN29/500) with an ELM327V1.5

Torque works well with standard PIDs, but seems strange that i can’t find any extra PIDs.

I try to see the PID, but I will need a few answers to some terminal commandsands

I use the Torque Scan plugin to find more pids or the Torque custom pid function, i don’t use any terminal to probe the interface.

I try with other app and it found a lot of more informations so for sure the way to probe extend Pids exist, i think that you must use a Pid to activate, but i don’t found yet.

I find the custom PID for DPF soot %.

2218e4 with response 6218e416EF.

Anybody know the formula to convert the 2 bytes 16 EF to the % value?

You really need to know what the true DPF Soot %
is, but you might try…

((A*256)+B)*(1/655.35)

16EF is approximately 9% ?

It’s not likely to be correct because
values above 100% would not be represented.

No, 16 EF should be around 82%.

Try ((A*256)+B)*(9.20/655.35)

Better, I’ll do some test this evening in a real trip and verify it’s correct.

Where are you find this information if you can tell me?

Just math from the data you provided.

Given:

16EF hex = 5871 decimal
Around 82%

Then

82.42……….?
——- = ——–
5871…….655.35

? = (82.42*655.35)/5871
? = 9.20

Edited.
