Post Nissan consult II protocal
on: July 4, 2016 (GMT)

Hi
I have seached this forum and not found any real answers
Does Torque Pro support Consult II as i can not get any data whatsoever from my vehicle.
Vehicle is a 2002 y61 (GU) Nissan Patrol with a TB48DE motor

Ecu identification is 1VC266
Protocal used to connect via other apps is ISO14230-4 (KWP fast)
My adapter is an ELM327 v1.5

From what i gather it uses a mix of OBDII and Consult II

Only thing i have found on this forum was dated 2013 and it was said it was going to be supported.

Your car has a 5-byte protocol requests, and Torque program is not yet able to issue requests for more than 4 bytes
The author promises in the next update is done

Thats good to hear. Looking forward to it.
If any beta testers are needed I will put my hand up for it.

Any updates on this??

Torque connects to my ECU but then nothing shows up at all.

I can receive data from other programs like Car Gauge Pro and NDSII (yes I know that last one is Nissan specific) for android but nothing for Torque.

I am running the latest version, I have tried the Nissan Plugin for torque which doesnt work at all for my issue.

Hi

For Consult II (not consult 1 or 3) I’ll need a protocol document to describe how it works (basically how to talk to the ECU using this protocol) – had a very quick search but couldn’t find any docs online (but as soon as I have the proper info I should be able to implement it relatively quickly)

I have just found something interseting in the technical service manual for my car.
Please note this is for a 2002 Nissan Patrol with a TB48DE motor
Under the comprehensive DTC List for Consult II for this it says “These numbers are prescribed by ISO 15031-5”
Not sure what that means to you guys.
If you want the DTC list I can send it if need be
I am running TorqueScan at the moment and can send through the data that collects once this completes if this helps too

Also found a wiki for Nissan specific commands

Hi!

That’s actually quite helpful! – I can’t look at it at the moment (looking after the little ones) though I will have a nose through it tonight and see if I can make a start with what is there. If I can then great (though ultimately I’ll also need a list of sensors/scaling/units(etc) so I can provide them as well (I’ll see how I get on with the docs first though)
