Post I can not add new extended PID. They do not work at Subaru Forester
on: April 5, 2016 (GMT)

Hi there! !

First of all, I’d like to apologize for my lack of experience on “Torque”, which I have begun recently.

I have recently bought a Subaru Forester 2.0D AUG2015 (Euro6). I have a problem with the DPF, in order to know how to work the DPF, I bought torque tool, version 1.8.81 (the latest version).
So, the ECU does not respond at extended PID’s. Otherwise, it respons to basics PID.
Exemple:
If I ask for PID “0105” it gives me the Coolant Temperature. But If I ask for PID “220005”, (the equivalent) I do not get any result.
https://subdiesel.wordpress.com/generic/protocols/obd-ii/#mode01pid05
ModePID Description Min Max Units Formula
220005 Temperature Coolant 0 100 C A-40

With the same Torque tool I can test the PIDs, when I am adding a new PID.
I attached some print-screens of results. I do not know interpret values
For example, for 22114D PID, Soot Accumulation Ratio, the test result is:
Result for equation: 0.0
Command: 22114d
Response: 7E80762110000000FFD75A0762110000FFD63F

Results for other PID’s:

http://postimg.org/image/q03bmdi1r/
http://postimg.org/image/pocy33m35/
http://postimg.org/image/pufhgtq99/

All these responses are strange and they should not be equal of course.

Here there is on exemple of print-screen result of my Forester:

Could some on tell me why it does not work the extended PID?

Thank you so much.

you answer just two blocks ecu
7E8 0762110000000FFD
75A 0762110000FFD63F
you need to register initialization string, which indicate at what block ecu you expect response

Hi,

Could you tell me how can I initiate the feature called “string” ?

I went to configuration, car profile, and then in the protocol OBD2, I wrote down Subaru SSM-II(beta). However it did not work.
My settings to connect with car are this:

Thank you!

Hi,
I’ve set the configuration string as mentioned above (thanks for the screenshot), but still not working:-(
I attach you the results of the PID, as same as you had sent me.
PID->22114d
http://postimg.org/image/g0s1107ip/
PID->221157
http://postimg.org/image/qp39qee27/
PID->22114b
http://postimg.org/image/pvj67715z/
PID->221156
http://postimg.org/image/h58l4jmyl/

For example: PID for this result which gives me:
62 11 00 00 00 0F FD
62 11 00 00 FF D6 3F
and it should be:
R: 62 11 56 02 34
where response = 0x0234 = decimal 564 ; ? result = 564 km

http://postimg.org/image/7hmvruk9d/
http://postimg.org/image/kr51380d9/

On the other hand, I don’t understand the PID, that you have attached. The extended PID (mode 22) depend of the project ParsePID (https://github.com/SubaruDieselCrew/ParsePID ), they are another ones.
What does it mean?

Thank you so much for your help.

Hi,

today I have not had much time. I have only tried the PID 22208D.
Tomorrow I’ll test the other PID’s.

Test1: With set the configuration string:
http://postimg.org/image/svqx77rtd/
http://postimg.org/image/ogy8797ix/
http://postimg.org/image/3r4i7jhqp/

Test2: Without set the configuration string
http://postimg.org/image/jksy1z6kx/
http://postimg.org/image/kbbaa7rnr/
http://postimg.org/image/lk7dxbycz/

When I did test1, I think that it had had a moment which the screen showed me the number 320, which means 320km. However, in less than a second, it went back to 0 again. I waited for a while, nevertheless it had not showed me again the number 320. Why do you think this is happening?

Tomorrow I will send you the rest of the test, with and without the initialization string.

Thank you!
(un saludo!!)

Hello, good afternoon,

Here’s the test result.
Test 1: PIDS 22208D and 222084
http://postimg.org/image/m0zrpky17/

Test 2: PID 2220285
http://postimg.org/image/8x9vh078d/

All these responses are strange and they should not be the same. ….
The initialization string is no correct, or PID are not correct?

Thank you so much for your help!.

Yes, your adapter firmware fake
https://yadi.sk/i/3BDCVrESqsLgP
your adapter does not understand the command settings and does not perform the initialization string and continues to issue commands to the address 7DF instead 7E0

Ok, thank you so much!

I knew there was bad interface the ELM327, by MAC problems. (http://www.incardoc.com/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=84 ). But mine is connected well and responds well to the standars PID’s…

What kind of interface you would recommend me to buy and where could I buy it.

Regards.

Hello again,

the recommended adapter does not work with diesel. The link says:
This one CAN’T support for Diesel or Trucks.””
I told you that my Forester Diesel 2.0 AGO2015 (Euro VI)

I take this opportunity to ask for the formules PID’s., 22 20 84, 22 20 85, 03 22 20 87, 22 20 88, 22 20 89,…etc

Where can I find it? I need this pattern: PID – Name – threshold of work – formula

Thank you so much for your help!.

I certainly can not confirm, but there is written concerning diesels nonsense
I think it’s written, it was taken to the adapter, which ostensibly for diesels
I think it’s a publicity stunt
in fact supported by the ISO 15765-4 protocol (11 bit, 500 kbaud)

PID –Name – threshold of work – formula
it all turns using the scanner and the responses from the ECU emulator

this adapter works correctly
but the response 7F2231, said that the request is not supported
do a search with the help of of supported PID Torque Scan program with Header 7E0
