* Support for larger requests (> 5 bytes) – hoping to get it into this release if it gets through testing
in version 1.8.108 of this item is not
in version 1.8.110 also
Does this mean that the you will not be add this capability to the program

Hi!

It is going to be added, just taking a little longer than expected, apologies. Though it is imminent!

I have to add UUID generation to the PIDs first before I can finish the long PID code (due to a legacy way I originally implemented the PID data early in the app)

Once this is sorted then I should then be able to move on to the next step, so we’re looking around 1.8.112 for this (it’s imminent)

The alarms are one of the thnigs that will also benefit from the uuid generation as well and this will be in the next update (1.8.110), then it’s on to completing the long requests after the groundwork for it is complete!

Hi!

Should be sent out in the beta stream by the end of tomorrow (Friday), just finishing off testing!

Hi!

All done and sent to the beta stream – you should see the update in about an hour I think

I made better progress on this today to get it complete. I think I have tested everything properly (logging, etc, etc) that the changes affect as well so everything should work fine. Please let me know if I’ve broken anything.

Version 1.8.111 is impossible to create the External PID of longer than 3 bytes

That’s correct – you need the 1.8.112 update that’s probably still being processed by google – should be about half an hour to an hour before they finish processing the update and send it out

(apologies, should have probably stated the version number here in my last post)

but the device value of the XX
e8 00 00 XX 56 60 55

debugging information sent

ok, got the debug

I’ll look into it tonight and setup a test harness for it so I can reproduce – I’m correct in thinking your XX value is not being reported?

in version 1.8.115 the problem is solved, if used in the formulas R0, R1, …

Hi!

This may be something that cannot be changed (as people are already using A8 with formulas from older versions on different ECUs)

It’s done in principle, but commented out currently as If I changed the ordering, then this would basically break everybodies existing PID equations for that mode (as it means that A would have shifted)

This needs some more thought at the moment. R0 may be the way forward for this at the moment (as if I implement at a later date, the R0 positions won’t change) though I need to see just how many people are using A8 presently(and the impact on this for people like existing plugins, etc)
