Hi, I don’t know if this has been asked a bazillion times already. I didn’t find any info with a search.

Does Torque currently — or could it do – automated mileage readouts?
For intance: i start driving, I stop – it logs odometer readings and how many miles were traveled? you know, a logbook for expenses, taxes, etc.

Though not exactly “car mechanic” related, this would be an awesome and incredibly useful feature.

Yep, the odometer mileage counter isn’t part of the generic OBD commands (that I am aware of), but it would be possible to log mileage travelled with torque running and keep it updated in the vehicle profile. I’ll see if I can add it in the upcoming or next couple of versions.

Thank you for that incredibly fast answer!!

I wasn’t sure; read differing things about odometer readings via obd, and saw a site where they were, um, reprogramming an odometer via the obd port with a palm pilot of some sort. Of course, seeing as that’s illegal, who knows if anything about the site was legit.

This is an ancient thread, but rather than start a new one it might be better to post here.

So far my searches have not come up with a good answer, I have larger tires than stock and want to get an accurate MPG figure. I can do hand calculations no problem yet need to know GPS miles driven vs OBD.

This feature is great for the speedometer, I use the speed differential display as well as GPS speedometer.

Is there a way to set up a GPS trip odometer, or GPS mpg display?
