I have been trying to monitor transmission temperature for my 2009 VW Jetta 2.0L turbo to change my transmission fluid but the transmission temperature appears to track the coolant temperature. The transmission temperature increases ~12 degrees C in the first minute on a cold engine.

Do you believe these values to be accurate?

Thanks and love the app.

I believe the same auto transmission is used on the Ford Mondeo, SMax and Galaxy3.
I suspected the same performance – tracking the coolant temperature exactly, even though my Galaxy3 has transmission cooler in front of the coolant radiator.
There are another two methods shown in the available dials, which are active but the temperature on both is the same and shows -17.6C.
I need to investigate further.

For your Ford…

Have you tried the TFT pid for the Ford 6.7 or
the older TFT pid in the predefined list
for Fords?

Edit:

For your VW, you might want to test the 0105
pid in the pid editor to see if another module
is responding. If so a specific header may be
required to extract it.

I know this is an old thread, but I’ve just been told that the ScanGuage XGuage coding for DSG temp is : TXD – 686AF10105, RXF – 031A04410505, RXD – 2808, MTH – 00090005FFD8, Name – TFT. Can anyone tell me how to format that as a CSV file for Torque?
