I have searched for two days… this forum and others and have resolved myself to ask the question here.

Like many others, I’m trying to get Transmission Temperature to display with Torque Pro on my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WJ).

I’ve been to JKowners, where someone had success with his Wrangler and posted the Wake Up and The Trans Temp settings. This did not work for me.

I’ve read this thread and many others here, and I see (jealously) that some have gotten their Tranny Temp to display. I’ve tried all of the PID’s here and the formulas, and I continually get No Data, even with a WakeUp PID.

I have added the custom PID’s for trans temperature, both, with and without the Wake Up, and tried all three, to no avail.

The only thing I can figure is that my Jeep Year is using a different PID code. So I’m writing in hopes that someone will be able to help, or shed some light on my situation.

Any thoughts?

zx1990, can you export your 2011 JK profile? It looks great and I would like to use that as a base to start.

Thanks

Would love to however I lost that layout when rebuilding my phone a while back.

Was pretty simple to setup.

Hi All, i have Torque Pro 1.8.49 on my Samsung Galaxy.
I followed your recommendations but the Transmission Temp on my Automatic 2010 JK Sahara Unlimited still don’t show.

I can see the Jeep Pre 2012 on Customs PID, but the Transmission Sensor is not on GREEN, no matter that I tried but there is no Response on the testing.

I appreciate your help.

Did you try adding the wake-up pid that the
2011 needed?

Have you searched jeep forums to see what
others are using for your vehicle?

I have a 2015 JK. Digging around, I was able to find a 3rd option under the add extra PIDs menu. There were three there, and option 1 and 2 did not work. Option 3 did, but it reads C. So I tried to change it under the edit screen. Can I do this? The PID code is 2103. I changed the equation to ((A*253)+B)/64. When I hit test, it gets data back. When I install the guage, it just reads “0”. But the option 3 is a highlighted gauge to pick, unlike the other two.

Yeah Option 3 giving -40*C reading and I can’t find a way to change it to *F on the screen.

I have also installed the wake-up PID, and it has no affect. The gauge has a green marker, like the rest, so I believe it is active, but it only reads “0”.

Ideas?
Anyone???

((((A*256)+B)*(1/64))-32)*(5/9) for °C

I have tried the PId in °F and it works on my 2011 JK Rubicon 3.8 but I want to read it in °C. I tried the formula above but when I went to save it didn’t like the formula. To me and my basic maths says there was 1 too many brackets at the start so I changed it to:
(((A*256)+B)*(1/64)-32)*(5/9)

Where can I find the full listed PID formula/code to run Trans Temp in °C ?

I have tried the wakeup and temp PIDs listed, with the correct formulas, many different times and all I get is the flashing dash lights and chime. The wakeup returns a 146 when tested, but the gauge shows 0 when running over the wakeup.

Any suggestions, or is this just not ever going to work?

Thanks,

Tim
