Post My PID missing in map view
on: April 17, 2014 (GMT)

Hi guys,

i manage to log my own PID, everything’s working fine.

But when i want to see some of them in map view, i cannot see any of them in the list of data source available. I only see:
– GPS Speed
– Altitude
– Gravity in X, Y and Z

I manage to log all the PID i have added but none show in map view list.

I searched this forum for a similar problem, but not found. Sorry if i missed it.

But this is a really cool app !

Using Torque 1.8.24 on Nexus 5 on Android 4.4.2

sorry to bump this one,

i just want to know if anyone is actually able to see your own PID in map view ?

If so, then at least i know it’s a wrong setting on my side, or a bug. Then i’ll keep looking for a fix.

thanks

Bumping a real old thread for the same reason. I can’t load all the PIDS I logged when in Map View, did this ever get resolved?

Did you select the toggle in Trip Logging
settings to include select what to log pids?

My custom TFT pid shows up in Map View.

Yes I checked that box in the Trip Logging section. I feel like it used to work correctly for me but now it doesn’t. Any other ideas?

I’m using the latest version too. Starting to feel like Ian gave up on further development or support.

You might try creating a new vehicle profile
using separate dashboard layout. This option
will allow the new profile to use its own dashboard,
custom pids and data logging.

I think I figured out the problem which were twofold. 1) some of the general settings are persistent (global) and some are vehicle profile dependent, but it’s not shown anywhere which are which. This is not so great idea. I think all options should have a toggle designating global or vehicle specific.

2) if you start logging with some PIDs selected, then stop logging, then change the selected PIDs, then start logging again, then it appears the original PID selection headers still in the log file affect what’s logged later even though you changed the selection since the 2nd logging session is part of the original file. I didn’t try this, but if you disconnect from the ECU and reconnect in between sessions to force a new log file then maybe this won’t happen.
