Hi!

It will still work – you can use a tablet – it will simply buffer the data until you come into range of a working internet connection, then upload to either your own server, or the torque server if you set it to do that

Oh ok. I must have something set wrong. I have data recorded on the tablet, I have viewed it in Excel on my desktop.

I have a account now, logged in and looking at the world map.

In tablet I have; Upload to webserver, checked.
Only when OBD connected, un-checked.
Webserver URL is, http://in.torque-bhp.com
I have a HaveTorque ID
Have a User Email Address set
When I do a Test settings it shows good.

Does it somehow automatically upload?

Hi!

For the realtime data upload, it only uploads for that session that the app is running (if you quit the app and tell it to not wait to upload, then the data is discarded)

The trip and normal logging are separate logs to the realtime data upload/logging

So for the realtime upload, to actually upload to a server without a data connection at the time of logging, the tablet would need to be exposed to the internet at the end of the driving session, before the app is quit

Ok, is it possible to test it while I am in the house not connected to the truck?

Or does it need to collect real data from the obd?

Your smartphone/tablet connects to the OBD scanner via bluetooth, so it all depends on the distance. If the distance exceeds 50 feet, then it will not connect. Take also into consideration the walls between your device and truck, it may diminish the operating distance.

OK lads. Here’s the gig. I’ve got the app running just peachy. I am data logging to the web and looking at the data through EXCEL as a downloaded CSV file later. The issue I’m having is that the session number and the time stamp come through as a scientific notation number and no matter how I change the format of the cells, I cannot get it to read the proper date and time in human terms. I could use some information on this. Thanks

Hi everyone,i am New here

I cant log in when i use the torque Pro app on Android, nog with email ,not with id name, hoe can i be sure that my data or scan or ligging is saved, i am New to this, so dont know anything , but my car is using a lot of Engineering oil and i Hope to see any info, my Co 2 was to High so in 2 weeks i cant Drive my dreamcar anymore, it is a Mazda mx5 from 2006 1.8l
If anyone can Help me to full in the settings in the Pro app i would be very thankfull , please any info is welcom.
I Have the elm327 but it is only with bluetooth, using on a Samsung Tab 3 ,
Can i use this and Run the app while driving?

Log files are being written to phone internal storage. How can I change them to SD card?

I want to know also, my Samsung and a cheap RCA tablet generates a log files but can’t save it and can’t email it. It’s just on the screen. Not sure why. Any ideas.

Hi I am new here and hope this is the right place for my question.

Since some days I try to register on the view.torque…. but I always get a server error 500. I checked the settings on the app several times and all was ok. Also the test…

Hope you can help me.

I try to email the csv file but it turns out to be non extension file. I also didn’t see the data being uploaded.

It there something I missed out?

Data uploads, but cannot log into viewer.
says user/password error, even though I’m using the password I always have. when I try forgot password, enter my email and click next and nothing happens.

ANyone can advise how this server thing works?

App is setup correctly. I’ve been drriving with it on for a week. I can see lots of csv files on my phone with trips. Uploading is setup correctly. But when I login on desktop to Web Viewer there are no trips at all…

After Jan 30th 2019, I don’t see any trips listed on the viewer website

I can see the trips listed on Torque Pro mobile app -> Map View
Torque Pro mobile app version is from Oct 30 2018
