Post Initial Setup w/ another vehicle?

My truck was stolen along with a ScanGaugeII monitor. I upgraded to Torque and bought the OBDII adapter from Amazon. I am currently shopping for another truck. Can I set up the bluetooth and vehicle parameters for the truck I’m looking for while the OBDII is plugged into a different vehicle? I need it set up to plug and play when I test drive the new truck.

Simply put yes. You can setup multiple vehicle profiles before hand, once you pair a phone it would be just a matter of picking the preset profile and plugging is the Bluetooth adapter. The adapter should already to connect when power is applied to it when you plug it into the OBDII port.

If you set the use separate dashboard
setting in the vehicle profiles you create,
you can build different displays and
extended pid lists without affecting the
other vehicles. Especially useful when
switching between different makes of
vehicles.

I only need it for a 6.0l Powerstroke Diesel, when I get another one. Driving a rental as of now. Will the PIDs for the Powerstroke only show up when connected to that vehicle?

I have four different Vehicles any advice on using the torque app on four different vehicles sounds like a PIA to take out the Bluetooth dongle every single time

If you are using a different adapter for
each vehicle the vehicle profile can be
set for a specific adapter for that vehicle.

Leaving adapter plugged in for long periods
of time can drain the battery if the vehicle
is not used every couple of days.

Okay great I would like to use a different adapter for each vehicle how would I set individual adapters to each vehicle? And yeah I wouldn’t leave it plugged in for the vehicles that are only weekend drivers I have two vehicles that I drive pretty regularly

There is a selection in the vehicle profile for
paired adapter to use. Just create a profile
for each vehicle as needed. Then change to
the appropriate profile when needed.

Side note…pressing the profile name area
from the main screen is another way to
launch vehicle profile editor.
