220991 – No response on the 6.7L – For 6.4L
220992 – No response on the 6.7L – For 6.4L
2209E2 – No response
22c907 – No Response
22c908 – No Respones
221171 – No response on the 6.7 – For 6.4L

Just started vehicle and readings from a screen shot
Mode/Pid: 22F478
EGT1 (From Torque) = 207.1 F
EGT 11 – ((B*256)+C)*0.18 = 247.1 F
EGT 12 – ((D*256)+E)*0.18 = 240.1 F
EGT 13 – ((F*256)+G)*0.18 = 175.7 F
EGT 14 – ((H*256)+I)*0.18 = 153.4 F

EGT1 (From Torque) = 327.0 F
EGT 11 – ((B*256)+C)*0.18 = 367.0 F
EGT 12 – ((D*256)+E)*0.18 = 416.5 F
EGT 13 – ((F*256)+G)*0.18 = 474.7 F
EGT 14 – ((H*256)+I)*0.18 = 416.5 F

Highest Value
EGT1 (From Torque) = 547.5 F
EGT 11 – ((B*256)+C)*0.18 = 586.3 F
EGT 12 – ((D*256)+E)*0.18 = 617.9 F
EGT 13 – ((F*256)+G)*0.18 = 484.2 F
EGT 14 – ((H*256)+I)*0.18 = 416.5 F

FYI: From Ford Doc
Diesel Oxidation Inlet Temperature (EGT 11 or DOC_IT)
Diesel Oxidation Outlet Temperature (EGT 12 or DOC_OT)
Selective Catalytic Reduction Outlet Temperature (EGT 13 or SCR_OT)
Down Stream Diesel Particulate Filter Temperature (EGT 14 or DPF_OT)

PID 22116C
Diesel Particulate Filter Pressure (PSI) (DPF)
I get data but gauge reads 0.0 psi

These were for EGT11, EGT12, EGT13 and EGT14…

Mode/Pid: 22F478

((B*256)+C)*0.18
((D*256)+E)*0.18
((F*256)+G)*0.18
((H*256)+I)*0.18

would be my guess after looking
at the response data.

Based upon your Torque EGT1 data
I believe these are the correct
equations to use…

(((B*256)+C)*0.18)-40
(((D*256)+E)*0.18)-40
(((F*256)+G)*0.18)-40
(((H*256)+I)*0.18)-40

EGR Temp…

(((A*256)+B)*0.0064)-4.0

Thanks;
EGR I’ll try out tomorrow
Started engine long enough to get screen shots with new math, 37 degrees outside.

Mode/Pid: 22F478
EGT1 (Math from Torque) = 121.8 F
EGT 11 – ((B*256)+C)*0.18 = 121.8 F
EGT 12 – ((D*256)+E)*0.18 = 120.6 F
EGT 13 – ((F*256)+G)*0.18 = 60.8 F
EGT 14 – ((H*256)+I)*0.18 = 53.6 F

EGT1 (Math from Torque) = 151.2 F
EGT 11 – ((B*256)+C)*0.18 = 151.2 F
EGT 12 – ((D*256)+E)*0.18 = 131.9 F
EGT 13 – ((F*256)+G)*0.18 = 177.3 F
EGT 14 – ((H*256)+I)*0.18 = 85.3 F

EGT1 (Math from Torque) = 183.4 F
EGT 11 – ((B*256)+C)*0.18 = 184.3 F
EGT 12 – ((D*256)+E)*0.18 = 143.2 F
EGT 13 – ((F*256)+G)*0.18 = 200.1 F
EGT 14 – ((H*256)+I)*0.18 = 95.9 F

Can you or Bronco post the test response for
dpf psi 22116c that is responding? Maybe we
are looking at wrong variables.

PID 22116c
The PCM supplies a 5 volt reference, pressure is 0 to 7 psig.
Result for equation: 0.0 (Probably don’t have the right equation to start with?)
Command: 22116c
Response: 7EB037F2212

Also EGR
Old equation read 65 F with no change and with the new equation you posted reads 48.4 with no change. I would assume that this would rise?

The 7F … was an unsuccessful
response.

The latest equation came from
the ford document for dpf psi
at 0.1 volts and 4.9 volts. Probably
the same document you found your
descriptions for EGTs.

If EGR Temp is not changing then
I suspect the pid is not correct or
we looking at wrong variables in the
response.

MPD:
Probably has something to do with the TXD 07E00322116c. Maybe try changing the header?
EGR, Interesting, the other scanner uses PID 22F46B. I’ll have to check when the engine get to running temperature and goes into close loop.

Capp777: I really thank you for your time, I’m really going to have to go back to the beginning of the learning curve (basics).

Have you tested 017A or 017B for a response?
These are shown as dpf related pids.

While I dont have a 6.7 to use these on… I
have learned a lot on our quest.

Thanks for sharing!

There was no response from those.

Yes I understand that you don’t have a 6.7L, I can’t thank you enough for the help. I would think with over 1000 views, someone else would chime in with something. A forum without multiple inputs can get frustrating.

Question about your distance since
regen pid… I read on the web that
the value updates on engine shutdown
and on startup only. While running the
value reportedly didnt change.

Did you observe this behavior?

You are correct I didn’t get a response from 220434 and with 22FD8A, it has stayed at 3.0. Of course I did my own math equation LOL.

I tried to catch up on everything tonight.. Sorry for the delay.

Which pid are you guys using for EGR temp? I tried 22f478 and I am getting a result of 20.

On 220434

On 22FD8A

22116c – No response

On 22F46B

Bronco,

It appears that the EGR Temp pid is not
correct. The values didnt change. Maybe
the variables are incorrect?

We have not been able so far to find the
correct dpf psi pid as well.

I do have a question for you though…

How are you posting screen shots from
your phone to this thread?

I have been unsuccessful at copying and
pasting from my phone and my laptop?

Bronco:
I too would like to know how to post screen shots. It would also be nice if there was a way to take a screen shot of the Adapter Status screens.

Also
The last picture shows the response from 22f468 and you titled it 22f46B (EGR)?

The name was there I think I was just using that pid to test something else mentioned above.

On the screen shots. I use photo bucket and I paste the “IMG” link here.

I should’ve known by looking at the properties of the image,

Thanks for the answers… so that means
I have to have a cloud server to store pics
and paste wont work on this forum?

Another crazy thought about EGR Temp…
maybe the B was suppose to be 8. That
pid gave a response in Broncos posting.

Did I typo the EGR temp (22FD8A) then?

As far as the photobucket thing, I find it pretty easy. I have the android app and upload the images right from the gallery after I take the screenshot.

Then it’s just a matter of copy and pasting the IMG source and pasting it here.

Based upon your original postings
22FD8A is for distance and 22F46b
was for EGR Temp which is not changing
as expected.

As a long shot I suggested trying 22F468
as EGR Temp hoping it could be a typo by
whoever created the info.

Bronco had actually posted a screenshot
that was using 22F468 which responded
with data? (7 posts above).

I don’t think it is a typo? But I’ll try it anyway.
The 6.7L has one EGR gas temperature sensor. EGRT11 is the EGR outlet cooler gas temperature sensor. Not sure why I would want to know this unless I was having EGR cooling problems. ECT2 is mounted in the EGR Cooler and monitors the coolant temperature in the powertrain secondary cooling system and in the EGR Cooler for effectiveness by measuring the amount of heat being absorbed by the coolant.
I haven’t confirmed, but I believe the ECT I’m using is matched with the trucks gauge, not sure if it is the primary or secondary cooling system.
