I noticed one of the features of the latest release was “* Fix for equation parser issue when dealing with long responses“. I was very excited as I’ve been waiting for a way to deal with longer multiline responses for some time. Unfortunately this release doesn’t appear to help with my particular issue.

I’m testing a non standard PID 06A3. Torque sends the command and gets a response, but no matter what I put in for equation I always get [No response].

Result for equation:[No response]
Command:06A3
Response:025
0:46A20B240000
1:0000FFFFA20C24
2:00000000FFFFA2
3:80300000000053
4:A3A28130000000
5:00028F00000000

Should torque work in this situation? It’s getting a response but doesn’t seem to know how to parse through the data.

I have a similar problem with the parser, not a no response, but a bytes mixup, see http://torque-bhp.com/forums/?wpforumaction=viewtopic&t=3718.0.

One thing I have to admit is I dont get how the formula is working, “A” should be the first data byte and so on, in the example on my thread, “AC” (confirm to work with Bluetooth adapter), is the 31th byte.

I dont get it, if A=first byte, then Z=26th byte, AC=29th byte, but get the 4 last bit of 30 and 4 first of 31 and bluetooth adapter get the 31th byte. 😐

Hi

This is a separate issue that I’m also looking at for another plugin developer – it should hopefully be fixed in the next update

Have you tried using Rx variable addressing?
