I’m creating a BMW theme.

I have troubles with the colors. Specifically:
– There’s green stuff everywhere (pitch, roll, graphs, and also some small green dots in dials? what are those for?)
– There are min and max markers, but they are hardcoded to red and yellow.
– The roll meter perpendicular lines are yellow.

Finally, I don’t get how the radiuses specified in the TXT work. If I make the ticks outer radius 1.5, and the needle length 1.5, the needle is actually shorter than the ticks.

Also, some dials types seem to position text in different radiuses. E.g. “dial needle” and “dial meter” types won’t render the ticks text in the same place.

Any help is appreciated!

Is there any way to have the option of viewing the “ticks” in front of the indicator bar in the dial display? I think that this will help make the dial display less “2d ish” If this could be an option that would be awesome as i am currently designing a theme I hope to contribute here very soon. I definitely want everyone to be able to download it and use it. I’m currently working on a theme with a lil bit more visual depth.

ps…. if you’d like Ian, i would be more than happy to share it with you be fore releasing it here. I think if you saw a lil bit of what i am trying to do, i think excitement will ensue. or maybe not

Don’t laugh. What I wanted was a real clean and simple look which could be read at glance:

Night HUD

I have a couple of questions though:

Does the dial needle param work? I want needles inside the text.

Is there a way to have a choice of local themes?

An invert theme colours option might be nice in both standard and HUD modes

It would be good to have means to manipulate layout of display itself. Someone in this topic was already asking for way to place more displays in 1 screen with big numbers (to be visible from distance in shaking vehicle), using Digital display type. Title and unit take too much place without real ‘value’. Also vertical spaces between them.
I would love to see digital display which is all in 1 line with title and unit changeable (and turnable off) and with resizeable frame (or without it completely). Most likely you already have everything as HTML so it’s time to move it to the theme where theme producer can move individual parts of the display.

New to building themes for Torque, but getting the hang of it. I have two questions.

Does anyone know if it is possible to increase the weight of the stroke of the ticks?

Also, does anyone know if it is possible to hide the TextTitle and TextValue properties? Specifically, could you hide them on only one PID display using _? For example, I want to hide the TextTitle and TextValue for fuel rail pressure which is PID 23. I tried:

hideTextTitle_23=true
hideTextVaule_23=true

That didn’t work. Any ideas?

Bradleby,

you can hide Tilte changing the title of the gauge (tap the gauge to open otions menu, tap the “Change Title” option and delete the text and leave it blank)

i made a new theme for torque. just a few questions. 1. is there a way to get rid of where the display says highest and lowest value? and 2. i had no problem loading it on my phone but on my tablet (which i actually use in my car) i cant find the folder at all. i checked all folders in the files section. the tablet is the original galaxy tab so if anyone has an idea please let me know.

ps. once i figure out how to get some pics on here i will put them up

OK figured out how to get it to work on my tablet. i had to plug my galaxy tab into the computer to find the folders that had the files. i have also changed a few colors but have kept 2 different copies of the properties in case i need to change them

I also just made another theme. i think i will be using this one.
