Been coming up to speed on creating a custom theme. One thing I have not been able to figure out is, how do you determine if a dial uses a ‘needle’ or ‘meter’ type indicator?

If you mean, how torque figures it out, it’s basically the square ones are the ‘meter’ ones, assuming you mean that they have numbers, and not a needle… round ones have needles… this is of course assuming you don’t switch the filenames around… you will notice the circle pics have a different name than the square pics, and that is how it knows which is a square and which is round… but if you name a specific thing say speedometer as a square, then everything but speed will be circle, yet, the square will have a needle, likely, depending on your theme settings file…

Hi all,

is there a way to customize background bitmaps and texts for the “On/Off” indicators?
The dials can be deeply customized using backgrounds depending on PIDs, needle style, and so on – see photo. I am looking for similar customization for On/Off indicators and use them as control lights or LEDs.

Hi all,

after a year and half of debugging and using Torque Pro in my Dacia Duster (2016), here’s the result.

My dashboard uses the 5″ android phone and fully customized theme:

The background includes the labels for upper-left values table (air pressures, MAF, IFC and so on). The dial gauges use customized backgrounds and needle.
Did not realized how to position values in dial gauges preciselly, so I am using standard numeric indicators without the background positioned over the radial gauges.

At night it switches to orange (no picture).

You have a copy i could get??? I’d like to view the theme, and see if there’s anything that might work in my theme I’ve been tweaking to my taste… (assuming that you wouldn’t mind me borrowing graphics from yours, if any will work for me)

seeing all these custom themes that users created, would be nice if someone would create a tutorial video on YouTube. my goal is create a theme with my desired needle design, but i have no idea how or where to begin.

Busy with my new setup. Trying to get it blue-ish and uncluttered like my dash in the Renault…
Here’s an attempt…

Improved it. Will call it ” Stolen Green-ish”.
Cause I literally nicked from a lot of others to get to a point where I could improve it myself…
Any thoughts?

Hello folks :)

Does anyone still has Opel/Vauxhall theme for Vectra C? (Not the OPC one but just regular)

I went thru all the pages and links and none of them are working… :(

Thanks!

Any chance of getting a copy of your theme zip? It looks great!!
Thanks

It’s there a torque Pro theme with these features?

a) compass disk itself turns to show the current heading at the top, instead of a needle pointing with north always up?

B) gauges (can change colour based on trend (increasing our decreasing). Eg the one showing the phones battery level? While seeing the current value is useful, it would be nice if it turned green when the OS actually reports that it is charging
(The OS charge indicator is to small to watch for)

C) even better would be gauges that show both the actual value in large Font and a line in the background, coloured based on trend

With the new update, how do we modify themes? I no longer have access to the properties files or other files to change the fonts or backgrounds?

I am trying to make something as close to my Cruze gauges as possible. There are two on the theme up that are close but I want to get it as close as possible but I’m no graphics person. Lol

Into 1.4 Chevy Cruze builds

I’m using the VW Polo theme, but I noticed the Oil Temperature gage max/min markers do not work. Can I fix this or does the theme maker need to update? Also, is there a way to hide the decimal places?
