Post Re: Themes

I have been experimenting with the creating custom themes by changing the properties.txt file.
I would like for the meter bar to display a variable color dependent on the sensor value.

For example…

rpm < 2500 display meter bar green rpm 2500-3500 display meter bar yellow rpm > 3500 display meter bar red

My thought is to use if-else statements in the displayIndicatorColor variable. As far as I have read these are not possible. Am I wrong? Is there another way that could accomplish this same thing?

I don’t think if/else statements are possible in a .txt file but it’s definitely a nice idea

Aloha
Been a bit tweaking with a theme. Mostly everything is “stolen” and rewritten/redrawn. But because I couldn’t find a “matching” theme to go along with my french car. Dunno why, but french cars have amber lighting.
Anyway, screenshot:

anyone interested?

I’m having troubles with the background image.
I have designed a custom background to fit my dials arround. But the image allways appears zoomed and scrolls on the back.
I’ve try the backgroundScrolls=false in propeties.txt with no success. ¿Any hint on this?

I saw some themes here with custom backgrounds fitting the dials. Im doing something wrong for sure.

:(

Not exactly a theme that can be downloaded and used right away since each dial has its corresponding dial face. However,Torque can look quite good with a bit of work.

The base dial face is from Tech-A theme for rainmeter, background image is from googling.

I have the same problem as well. I ended up putting a digital read out on each corners, took a screenshot of it, and then use the screenshot to help me scale the background accordingly. The end product have large black borders on the right and bottom of the image, but the borders are cropped out in torque.

I notice your mail. But..All of a sudden my own theme doesn’t work properly anymore.
I Made a zip, dropped it in the theme-section, loaded the dials and all..but the result is a semi-standard theme with fd-up dials.
Wut am I doing wrong?

Nice theme. How do you setup the middle right Dial to draw counter clockwise ??? (10 to 90 dial i mean)

Thanks

I set the start angle to overlap the stop angle.

For that particular dial:
dialStartAngle_11=350
dialStopAngle_11=170

I honestly don’t remember. I downloaded it a while ago and it had since been renamed to font.ttf. However, I can send you the file in a PM if you wish to use it.

I just realized this forum doesn’t have a PM system.

Anyways, I decided to see if I could get the font name by opening the font. Turns out I could; the name is Olney. Search Olney on google and the first result is a link to a certain font website. I got it from there too.
