Here is my theme as outlined above. No needle color or dial color change yet. But at least you can have the dials and background. More to come soon!

I have an idea for a theme but I don’t know how to do it. Is there more than one theme pre-installed?

I’d like to see a Silver faced with red numbers:

I have a 2000 Trans Am with the siver faced gauges.

I could do that theme no problem.. Just waiting on dial color control. Ian is working on it.

Uploaded the theme! but I’ve noticed another problem in the theme browser, so it’s getting a re-write. At the moment it’s not quite reliable (or fast enough) for my liking.

I’ll do the text colours (etc) this weekend as well – enough people have asked for it.

Where is the theme browser? I’ve followed the links on here and I cannot find it.

At the main home screen go to the settings menu, then the third section down it says “Choose a theme” That’s where the theme browser is located.

Thank you. I just got this Atrix and it’s the first smartphone I’ve ever owned.

Hey, I am new here but GREAT job on this APP!

I would really really LIKE to have the ability to change the font and color of the gauge numbers.

My Mazda RX-7 has black face, orange numbers and white needle.

If you could make this option available I know of many people who will buy this app at my job.

Thanks!

Hello

Right, theme support has been improved (it seems to work here), so here are the new keys that you need in the properties.txt:

displayTickColour
displayIndicatorColour
displayTextTitleColour
displayTextValueColour
font

Typical colour values are:

red
#AARRGGBB (eg: #ab002233)
#RRGGBB

So you would have in the properties.txt file:

displayTickColour=red
or
displayTickColour=#55aabb99

Please note, it’s the English spelling of Colour, and not Color. :-)

font is one of the android font family names, an example would be:

font=Serif

If you get wrong values in properties whilst developing the theme, then the app will either blow up or the values will be ignored

Hopefully this is of some use!

Ian

So will this upgrade just be available in the SETTINGS option under THEMES?

So I assume some of you all have a software program that can manipulate the gauges layout, color, ect BUT you still have to actually put it online so we simple folk can downlaod it to our phones? :)

Cool! Have been put onto the theme server – Torque caches the theme list for 24 hours so you may need to wait that long to see the updated themes (the refresh needs fixing to ignore the cache file… next update :))

I prefer a more basic look, here’s what I made to match my sti’s gauges, it sounds like it might work for yours too. I emailed Ian my theme to put on the server.

Man this looks great but I wish the detail was a little more re-fined. It seems like 16bit graphics from the Sega Genesis lol 😉

The color scheme fits my car perfect however, thanks again for creating it man!!
