Post Custom PIDs for classic (2001) Prius (NHW11)

Hello,

this is my first post here. I recently got the torque app as an add-on to the miniscanner for my classic prius.

After some research I found some Scangauge Xgauges for the classic prius

http://priuschat.com/threads/03-classic-prius-and-scanguageii.75468/#post1050472

As an example, the first entry of the list:

XGauge | State-of-Charge
TXD | 82D5F10191
RXF | 04418591
RXD | 2808
MTH | 000A00020000
NAME| soc
Notes| XX.X %

I also managed to find the post about how to convert Scangauge to Torque items.. (aberts guide)

Following the guide, I tried to convert the first entry into use with torque:

Name: State-of-Charge
ShortName: soc
ModeAndPID: F10191
Equation: A (is the letter case-sensitive???)
Min Value: 0
Max Value: 100
Units: %
Header:

What I am unsure about is what to put into the “header” field. As much as I know there are several different control units inside the prius (one for engine, one for battery and one hybrid vehicle ECU), but I dont see the field where I would select which ECU to get the data from.

From the discussion about the scangauge I got that the different ECUs have the following IDs:

Engine: 0x10
Battery: 0xD5
HybridVehicle: 0x16

Do those somehow go into the “header” field?

Best regards

Florian

Hello Florian,

Try 7E2 for the header.

Florian, I solved it! 84xxF1, where xx is the ecu (10, 16 or D5)
