Post Distance to empty
on: April 24, 2012 (GMT)

Hi,
Ian just want to say this is the Best app ever!

I am also wondering though, if it is possible to get the new “Distance to empty” to be calculated with the “Fuel remaining%” so i do not need to reset the fuel level in profile each time i fill up.

at the moment it seems quite accurate when i remember to reset it. not having to reset it would be awesome as 50% of the time i forget.

Hi!

Is that the ‘Fuel remaining (calculated from vehicle profile)’ sensor that you want it calculated from, or another one?

Sorry, I meant an option for the ‘distance to empty’ to be calculated from the ‘fuel level(from ecu)’ instead of having to adjust the fuel level manually in the vehicle profile.
Not sure if that is possible, but would be great.

Hi

Yes, it is feasable – I don’t have a working ‘accessible’ fuel level here, so for information, does yours go to 100% and all the way to 0 when using it? (I need to use this info to check the ‘range’ of the fuel sender you use

Yes, it definitely does go to 100.0%but I have never seen it go to 0% as I have never let it go so low. but it looks as if it willgo to 0% if allowed

That’s good! I’ve added an option in the OBD2 settings in the next update for you as it was a quick thing to do.

Hello. I have this same kind of problem whereas when my fuel tank becomes almost empty, my ‘Distance to empty’ still shows me with more than 250 mi left of travel.

Is there a setting that I’m not ticking to cause this or that I can correct?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
J
