Post Nissan CONSULT update?

Just picked up a Nissan, 2014, I see there are old threads about Nissan Consult with support not resolved, though it was close.

Has there been progress? How to get Nissan consult plug in and will I need a new adapter, threads I read before say yes and it won’t work with Bluetooth
