Post wont connect after upgrade

I have a Honda Accord K20 A6 2005 euro version,I am in the UK
The free version connected by BT to the ELM327 and then the ECU, on 91241 I think, so I subscribed and upgraded.
I have not been able to connect to the ECU since.
I had a similar experience with the Carscanner app, it connected easily with the free version but was unable to connect once I subscribed and upgraded.
Can anyone help please because my MOT test is due soon and the car keeps throwing P0420 codes and I don’t know if its the downstream lambda or a leak.It only started throwing the code when I replaced the cat but not the sensor.
