Post Extended Toyota TPMS PIDs
on: February 23, 2022 (GMT)

Hello,
New to Torque, and been trying to get some extended PIDs for my 2004 Toyota 4Runner working, but not having much luck.

What I’m hoping to get is data from the TPMS. I found online that the scangauge tool can read this data and display.

I found on this page,
https://www.scangauge.com/support/x-gauge-commands/toyota-lexus-scion/

Where it says that the ‘method 1’ should work for my year truck.

So now, I’m trying to figure out how to convert from ScanGauge to a normal PID type code. Ive tried several of the examples but nothing is working.

Example:
TXD: 822AF02162
RXF: 546180004000
RXD: 2808
MTH: 001D0004FF6F

Been trying the method found here
https://www.tundrasolutions.com/threads/guide-converting-scangauge-codes-to-torque-pro-pids.134700/

but I just can’t seem to get anything to work.

Anyone have any experience converting from Scangauge?

Have you tried testing…

Header: 822AF0

Mode/Pid’ 2162

Post your raw hex response.

sorry for the delay, just noticed you had replied.

When I tried that, and hit ‘test’

I just get a ‘result for equation: [Fetching data]’ message but nothing ever comes back.

What should I put into the equation field?

ah thanks, didn’t realize a new version was out.

I tried it again, this time I get back ‘no data’

Anything else I could try?

No data means nothing replied to the request when the PID was sent out – this usually means that the wrong header was used or the ECU simply won’t respond to that request

When you are connected to the vehicle ECU, what does the adapter protocol say in the ‘adapter status’ screen?

(Also a screenshot or list of the available/discovered ecus part would be helpful too)
