Post Alfa Romeo Giulia - oil temp PID
on: November 22, 2021 (GMT)

Hi all,
since we have an engine oil temperature gauge on Giulia’s dashboards I’m trying to create new custom PID to see exact oil temperature in Torque app.

Unfortunately I can’t get PID address for engine oil temperature because my car diag. software doesn’t have such an option for (except multiair versions).

My Giulia’s engine is 2.2D 180k.

Does anybody know HEX address for engine oil temperature PID?
Thanks in advance for each reply.

Hi,
the PID should be 221003 and the equation (A * 256 + B)*0.02 – 40

That PID on the Giulietta is used for the coolant temperature, while on the Giulia it’s the oil temperature.

Temperature obtained from this PID isn’t matching oil temperature on dashboard gauge.
It’s showing around 87°C all the time while driving.

When the temperature shows around 75°C there are visible only 2 bars of oil temperature gauge where 4 bars are showing when oil is heated at working temperature (approx. 90-100°C).
