HELP PID not active cant run predefined set

Guys,

Want to run some custom pid from predefined set (eg Ford incl PowerStroke) but the PID is not ACTIVATED meaning it is in black , not green.

I waited for it to turn green but does not.
I can add the display but it does not work.

Can someone help… where did i go wrong?

If I remember correctly, Not all PIDS will work for all trucks. Depending on model. For instance, I had the zf6 transmission so the predefined transmission temp sensor didn’t work for me. Been a minute since I’ve used it also, But I think it lists the PIDS for all the powerstroke years, So you won’t be able to used all the available pids with that collection.

yep exactlly that

black are are not deactivate

it’s just that the car doesn’t respond to that specific request

the same for normal PID

the problem with advanced PID is that they can be vehicule specific, some time they change year to year or even depending on what option you have

you can use forscan if you only want to look for it for debugging
