Long time Torque Pro user, but I’ve rarely needed to fire it up. I just got a recent model SUV and I want to try setting one of the parameters, but I can’t figure out how to actually set a value rather than just reading them. This is one of the less common parameters, too, so I need to figure out how to find that one (parameter 19) and then set it to another allowable in-range number.

Can someone point me in the right direction? In case it matters, I’m using some inexpensive OBD2 bluetooth adapter I bought of Ebay when I first got Torque. For reading engine codes and tracking RPM and such it has been great. Just mentioning it in case there are any adapter limitations that make some of these scan-only.

not sure what exactly you want to do ??

obdii is mostly a read only thing

except the reset and some similar stuff

and still wondering what parameter 19 should be ??

That’s fair, I suppose. So I am trying to test this out:

Voltage Method Tweak:
1. Select Gateway – 19
2. Select Adaptation
3. Select Start/stop start voltage limit
4. Change existing value from 7.6 V to 12.1
5. Exit Software, switch ignition off/on. Done!

Seems like lots of these types of instructions related to the OBDeleven OBD2 adapter and app, but I thought with Torque and my current OBD2 device I might be able to do it as well. I was starting to think this might be what Torque calls a PID?

Ok, based on further research it looks like to do that sort of coding, I need a different solution. Still like Torque though! Keep up the good work!

yes you are going to need something specific to your car or brand

a bit like forscan, or similare

The battery voltage during starting does drop well below 12v, typically around 8-9v due to the starter motor load, so you may wish to be careful with this setting.
