Has anyone used an elm327 adapter with the torque pro app on an older ford ranger? I’ve been trying for months now to get it to connect. Multiple elm327 units and still nothing. I’ve used the correct obd2 protocol and yet I see zero results. Any ideas? Please let me know whatever you have on this. Thank you in advance.

I use OBDLink Mx and BAFX adapters on my
older Fords which use PWM protocol.

Some clone adapters may work with the newer
protocols but not work with the older protocols
like PWM, VPW and ISO.

For example…

Assumes your 96 is fully OBDII compliant.
