Any way to Dump the Decimal?

I read somwhere here in a post that you were looking at decimal places by gauge, is this option/setting available?

When looking at My temps,,,, Coolant and Tranny I dont really need the 205.2, 205.4, 205.2 ,,, or 180.2, 180.6, 180.4 bouncing around, I would rather it just round off to the whole be it 205′ or 180′, can this be done?

Would be great if it could,,,

Awesome App, Awesome Support,,,Thanks Again,

I’ll see what I can do on this as it requires a little thought to implement nicely without cluttering up the app with too many options

The option to set decimals has disappeared. Was that deliberate?

Have you looked at the digital display
sub menu? I don’t think its an option for
the other display types.

Look under Display Configuration… at
the end of list.

Edit:

Long press the desired display to access
its sub menu and Display Configuration…

I would also like to remove the decimal from the Boost digital gauge. It’s distracting to have the tenths digit constantly changing while reading vacuum.

p.s. The decimal setting isn’t at the end of the display configuration menu.

Just checked again… if you followed
my instructions its there right at the
end like I mentioned in earlier post.

You might have to scroll/swipe the screen
to see it depending on your device.

(Torque Pro)

As I mentioned before… it is only
available for digital display types.

I’m having a related but different issue.

I’ve added digital displays for my O2 sensors which provide data in millivolts. I tried editing decimal points in display configuration, but all I get is a checkbox for “Use Default”. When I uncheck this box I get a “invalid data” response.

The default is “0.0”, and I’d like to see “0.000”.

Any Ideas?

End Quote.

Uncheck use default then
enter “3” without quotes for
the number of decimal places.

It seems like a simple “INTEGER” Function would sure solve the dump the decimal issue, and shouldn’t be a laborious programming task.

I know I would love to see it for MOST of the custom PID gauges I create. I can’t imagine anyone who would notice or care about the difference in a tenth of a degree trans temp, or tenth of a gram/sec intake air flow, or a tenth of a mile per hour, or a tenth of an RPM revs — and I can think of 100 others.

What would be the chance of seeing implementation of a function like – INT(Formula)?

Setting the digital display to “0” decimal
places will show as integer.

Hope number of decimal places is added to
the other display types like dial types. Would
love to show a 0-5 VDC to 3 decimal places for
thousands (mV) on those gauge types!

(This would also allow users to set to “0” and
show as an integer).

Edited.

I would love to dump the decimal on the meter dials for speed too (i have a 1.24 ratio on the settings though).

Hi there,
I’ve been wondering if the feature to remove the decimal places from round dials is still in the works now at the end of 2021?

Hi!

Thanks for reminding me about this – I’ll try to get the decimal updates into the next beta update 1.10.208 (may be .210 as I’m looking at an android headunit issue first)

Edit: This is now completed for all the main dial types, except the old line graph which is currently being updated
