Post Toyota 1KD-FTV Charge Air Temp.
on: May 15, 2020 (GMT)

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to read charge air temperature in my 2014 Toyota Prado powered by 1KD-FTV.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance for any help.

try this
PID: 2105, M-40, grad C, 7E0

This PID seems to work in the newer 2.8l diesel however reads a constant -41?C in the 3L.

Is there somewhere I can find manufacturer specific PID info?

Does your vehicle support OBD pid 0177?

Test for raw hex response.

Wortho91, give hex answers to requests 21C1, 21C2
in these answers are the identifiers of your ECU
I will try to see this parameter specifically for your engine

It’s not giving any response to PID 0177.

Wortho91, give hex answers to requests 2100, 2105, A801
perhaps all the same PID 2105, only a byte in the response is different, you need a response to PID 2105

Apologies for taking so long in the last reply, I had issues where I could login but couldn’t reply. Then got sidetracked and forgot…

Do I need to use any particular header with the PID responses?

Just got the results

2100- 6100983B8013
2105- 610542

The result for A801 is fairly large and comes up with “Buffer full”

Is there any chance you could pm an email address and I’ll send through a couple screenshots for A801?
