Post Auto Start option do not work

Hi, I’m using torque on an Android 9 Head Unit device.
The auto launch on boot feature seems to do not work.

With previous android 4.4.2 was working perfectly.

I’ve also tried on my Android 9 smarthphone and just the same it doesn’t start up on device boot.

Does this feature stop workin with earlier Android versions?

Yes, this problem exists.

I found this in the Android log:
04-13 12:50:50.932: W/BroadcastQueue(470): Permission Denial: receiving Intent { act=android.intent.action.BOOT_COMPLETED flg=0x9000010 (has extras) } to org.prowl.torque/.comms.ServiceBooter requires android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED due to sender null (uid 1000)

Permission “android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED” was not granted to Torque package.

I think this is because author wrote the android:requiredFeature=”false” attribute for this permission in the manifest.

“android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE” is also not granted to the package.

I don’t know why author used android:requiredFeature attribute in this place, but I think it’s the problem.
@piemmm, ?ould you remove it ?
