Thinking of Purchasing

hi there, i’m thinking of buying a setup but have a few questions.

Can i set alarms for things such as reaching a maximum temperature of the cooling system (or motor/whatever)

Can these alarms be running/triggered in the background of my ipad mini whilst i have my mapping software up (HEMA)

Essentially i don’t wont to monitor anything visually, just have alarms triggered when something is not normal.

I have an 2013 FJ Cruiser as well.

Yes.

You can set ‘Alarms’ on ANY PID (standard or custom. Even ‘psuedo’ PIDS that you create based on whatever parameters or formulas you come up with). Equal to, Greater than, Less than, etc.

I would only add, however, that they are truely “ALARMS”. Once triggered – it’s like you need to do something – ie: acknowledge it or DO something. I don’t see you could use them for a passive ‘notification’.
